Before your session
- No tanning beds or heavy sun exposure on the area
- Moisturize and protect your skin (sunscreen, lotion)
- Talk to Nina early about any medication (antibiotics, acne meds, cortisone, blood thinners, etc.)
- You should not be pregnant
- No alcohol
- No recreational drugs
- Avoid painkillers or other blood-thinning medication unless prescribed (confirm with your doctor and Nina)
- Sleep well
- Eat and drink enough before you arrive
- Shower; come clean and fresh
- Shaving isn’t required — the artist will prep the area. If you shave, do it gently and moist
- No creams, oils, perfume, or self-tanner on the spot
- Bring ID, payment, water, snacks, phone, and layers
- Wear clothing that gives easy access to the area (and something loose for after)
- Give yourself time — don’t rush
During the session
You may wait a few minutes if the previous session runs long — that’s normal. You’ll sign a consent form covering health info, medication, and consent to the tattoo. Bring a valid ID.
We’ll place the stencil, check size and position in the mirror, and only start when you love it. Speak up — small tweaks are easy before the needle hits skin.
- Breathe steadily; short breaks are ok
- Stay hydrated and snack if needed
- Tell Nina if anything feels wrong (dizziness, numbness, etc.)
Book through venue.ink/@goodnina_tattooing or DM @goodnina_tattooing. Include references, placement, size, and your availability.
Price depends on size, detail, and placement. Fine line / floral / ornamental custom work is quoted after reviewing your idea. A deposit is typically required to hold the date.
After your session
- Leave the bandage on for the time Nina tells you
- Wash gently with lukewarm water and unscented soap
- Pat dry — don’t rub
- Apply a thin layer of the recommended ointment or lotion
- Keep it clean and lightly moisturized
- No soaking (pools, baths, ocean) until healed
- No picking scabs or peeling skin
- Avoid direct sun; after healing, use SPF on the tattoo
- Skip heavy workouts that stretch or sweat the area hard for a few days
Message Nina if you see unusual swelling, spreading redness, fever, or anything that doesn’t look like normal healing. For medical emergencies, contact a doctor.
Once fully healed, if a small area needs a touch-up, reach out via Instagram or the booking link to schedule within the window Nina gives you.
